Medina City Schools is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. This dynamic professional will be responsible for identifying students with speech and language disabilities, developing and implementing programs for improvement and correction, and collaborating with colleagues and parents to provide comprehensive services.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess student speech and language skills using sound diagnostic practices
  • Screen students to identify speech, language, and hearing problems
  • Develop and implement individualized therapeutic programs for children with common disorders related to genetic disorders, language disorder/delay, hearing impairment, articulation/phonological disorders, apraxia, autism spectrum disorder, and delays of unknown origin
  • Collaborate with teachers to observe, describe, identify, and refer students with suspected speech and language handicaps
  • Maintain accurate and complete records for students screened, referred, or assessed for speech/hearing services

This position requires a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent, Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP), School Speech/Language Pathologist License from the State of Ohio Department of Education, and Ohio Licensure in Speech/Language Pathology from the State Board of Speech/Language Pathology and Audiology.
