The Radiation Therapist is responsible for administering radiation treatments, conducting radiographic procedures, and performing CT simulations while ensuring compliance with treatment documentation standards.
This role necessitates a comprehensive understanding and active engagement in fulfilling the mission of CHRISTUS Health, along with demonstrating behaviors that align with our core values.
The CHRISTUS Spohn Cancer Center (CSCC) provides a wide array of advanced treatment options.Our Medical Oncology team comprises two physicians and three advanced practitioners overseeing both inpatient and outpatient services across multiple locations within the CHRISTUS Health system.
Typically, each Medical Oncologist manages a patient load of 25 individuals daily in the clinic, while the infusion and chemotherapy department caters to approximately 45 patients daily at the primary site and nearly 20 at the secondary site.
Radiation Oncology encompasses two facilities offering external beam radiation, Tomotherapy, and CyberKnife services. The laboratory supports a comprehensive range of hematology and metabolic services.Additionally, we provide a Palliative Care consultation program, maintaining an active daily census of 15 to 20 patients.
The CHRISTUS Spohn Cancer Center is accredited by the Commission on Cancer, distinguishing it as the only regional cancer center to achieve this recognition.
With three clinics strategically located throughout the Coastal Bend, the CHRISTUS Spohn Cancer Center and its facilities are dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care.

Graduate from an accredited Radiation Therapy Program (ARRT)
Ability to comprehend and execute complex medical prescriptions while performing under pressure.
Experience with CyberKnife is preferred
Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist License (MRT)
American Registry of Radiologic Technologist in Radiation Therapy (ARRT-T)
Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) from The American Heart Association
