About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Epic Inpatient-ED Application Analyst III to join our IT - Epic Systems Support Team at Halifax Health. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in the organization's operational health and project success.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will serve as the primary support contact for specific Epic applications, providing technical expertise and guidance to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance. This position involves a mix of operational experience, project management, and organizational skills, ensuring that project teams remain focused and that the Epic system aligns with the organization's business needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the implementation, build, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of the Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system with a focus on ASAP.
  • Guide workflow design, system build, and testing, and tackle technical challenges associated with Epic software.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of Epic applications.
  • Provide training, support, and troubleshooting for the system and its applications.
  • Support other IT applications and participate in Oncall rotation.
  • Function as a liaison between end-users, Epic implementation staff, and business stakeholders to ensure system functionality meets business requirements.
  • Participate in system upgrades, testing, and modifications based on organizational requirements.
  • Maintain regular communication with Epic representatives and participate in project team meetings.
  • Prepare reports on how changes may impact other programs.
  • Mentor junior analysts and share best practices.
