Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Support Coordinator to join our team at First Georgia Physician Group. This individual will be responsible for ensuring a seamless patient experience from check-in to checkout.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome patients and visitors, and maintain accurate records of personal and financial information.
  • Process copayments or account balances in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Schedule appointments for multiple providers with precision and attention to detail.
  • Verify insurance coverage to ensure proper billing and payment procedures.
  • Provide exceptional patient care by anticipating and addressing their needs and concerns.
  • Communicate effectively with patients through various channels, including the patient portal.
  • Contribute to the team effort by completing tasks and duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of medical administrative and clerical procedures.
  • Proficiency in computer software applications, including Excel, Word, and Athena Health.
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare insurance.
