Position Overview

Role Summary: The Supplier Quality Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring that our suppliers meet the highest quality standards. This position involves close collaboration with various departments to enhance supplier performance and maintain compliance with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and monitor supplier performance, addressing any discrepancies or challenges in partnership with relevant teams.
  • Conduct evaluations of potential suppliers against established quality criteria in collaboration with the Purchasing department.
  • Develop and uphold supplier quality standards that align with the strategic goals of Sapear Inc.
  • Facilitate cross-departmental teams to resolve quality-related challenges using techniques such as root cause analysis.
  • Work alongside Engineering to ensure suppliers meet product specifications effectively.
  • Manage Supplier Corrective Action Requests to mitigate recurring quality concerns.
  • Lead the Production Part Approval Process to fulfill critical customer requirements.
  • Promote continuous improvement initiatives throughout the supplier network.
  • Create and implement training programs for suppliers focused on quality standards and processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Quality Engineer is essential.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
  • Familiarity with Quality Management Systems.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Project Management skills are necessary.
  • Background in Electromechanical Design is preferred.

Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel 15-20% as necessary, with weekends spent at home.
