Ports Engineer Practice Lead

Volkert Inc is a leading design firm with a strong commitment to employee ownership and sustainable growth. We are seeking an experienced Ports Engineer Practice Lead to join our Southeast Region team in Florida.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and grow the SE Region's ports practice through business development and client engagement
- Lead a team of engineers in conducting structural analysis and design for marine and upland components
- Develop and implement plans, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates for port projects
- Apply expertise in maritime codes and references, including UFC, PIANC, and ASCE-61
- Mentor and develop a team of port and maritime engineers
- Leverage industry relationships to promote Volkert's ports services and cross-sell across disciplines
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
- Minimum 10 years of experience in port structure analysis and design
- Professional Engineer (PE) License in the State of Florida
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proven experience in business development and team management
