About the Role

Smithfield Foods is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing production, ensuring quality and safety standards are met, and driving efficiency improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate a team of production employees to achieve production goals and objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, including HACCP and USDA regulations.
  • Monitor and analyze production metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues and optimize processes.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in a supervisory or lead role, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and coach employees.
  • Knowledge of SAP, Internet, Spreadsheet, Word, and Order processing software.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to work varied shifts and weekends.
