Nurse Navigator Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Navigator to join our team at Lankenau Medical Center. As a Nurse Navigator, you will play a critical role in coordinating the clinical care of patients in our oncology program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate patient care with physicians, imaging staff, and other members of the interdisciplinary team
  • Participate in program development, quality initiatives, budget preparation, and other activities affecting the overall operations of the oncology program
  • Act as a patient advocate and liaison with inpatient and outpatient members of the treatment team
Requirements:
  • Three (3) years of oncology experience
  • One (1) year of oncology nursing experience preferred
  • Supervisory/leadership experience preferred
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to professionally interact with all internal and external customers
  • Strong service excellence commitment and excellent patient care skills
  • Patient and family education experience
Education and Certifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in nursing required
  • Master's Degree in nursing preferred
  • Current license to practice nursing in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania or a multi-state license verified in one of the approved states through the Nursing Licensure Compact
  • Current certification in oncology nursing by ONC preferred (or required within two (2) years of hire date)
