Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Construction Foreman to join our team at Zero Impact Builders. As a key member of our construction crew, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation of renewable energy systems, including EV charging solutions, solar micro-grids, and energy storage systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a crew of 5-10 workers to ensure timely and efficient completion of projects
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and electrical code specifications to determine layout of equipment installations
  • Supervise and manage trenching for utility conduits, directing operators on backhoes, backfilling, and underground scanning
  • Supervise and manage pouring and finishing concrete pads for switchgear, electrical chargers, and bollards
  • Arrange and coordinate safety meetings to ensure a safe work environment
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to crew members and supervise their work
  • Be the point of contact with the employer's site superintendent and communicate with clients in a professional and courteous manner
  • Responsible for maintaining company tools, inspecting jobs upon completion, and ensuring areas are clean
  • Work with building principals and supervisors to complete projects and respond to emergency calls as needed
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a construction foreman or supervisor in the renewable energy industry
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes and regulations
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
