• Perform a variety of MRI and MRA procedures, ensuring patient safety protocols are in place and assisting radiologists with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Treat patients professionally and serve as the first point of contact for patients in achieving their imaging needs.
• Conduct thorough checks of diagnosis, prescription, and patient identification, as well as obtain patient history and screen for surgeries and implanted items.
• Explain procedures to patients and families, obtain consent for contrast, and verify GFR as needed.
• Operate MRI scanners, RF coils, patient monitoring equipment, and MR injectors to produce high-quality images.
• Archive and verify MRI images, perform quality assurance testing, and monitor patient status and tolerance throughout the study.
• Aid radiologists, doctors, and other team members in completing procedures according to applicable protocol.
• Comply with OSHA, TJC, DOH, and other mandated safety procedures or regulations.
• Maintain necessary inventory supplies and respond to emergency situations according to department policies.
