About the Role

Carter Lumber is seeking a skilled Truss Assembler to join our team. As a Truss Assembler, you will play a critical role in building the structural components that support roofs and floors in residential home buildings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble trusses by connecting lumber with metal plates, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Operate equipment and machinery to build trusses, following established procedures and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with team members to set up frameworks and assemble trusses, promoting a culture of teamwork and communication.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure trusses meet specifications and standards.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to improve skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Experience in manufacturing or a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, standing for long periods and lifting up to 100 pounds.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, with a focus on collaboration and mutual respect.
  • Basic carpentry skills and knowledge of tools and equipment.
