Radiology Technologist/Diagnostic Imaging Specialist
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist/Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at RAYUS Radiology. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing routine and advanced diagnostic imaging procedures using DTI technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnostic Imaging: Perform routine and advanced DTI procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury.
- Patient Preparation: Screen patients before exams for any precautions or contraindications pertaining to the examination.
- Procedure Explanation: Explain and prepare patients for DTI procedures, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately scanned, and providing patient support throughout the procedure.
- Equipment Maintenance: Adjust equipment as necessary and maintain a clean and organized work area to promote good safety habits for patients and coworkers.
- Record Keeping: Accurately maintain patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with radiologists, referring physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Imaging Support: Assist in maintaining an updated radiographic protocol manual and software upgrades, monitor medical supply inventory, and assist with training of new associates.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in radiologic technology or a related field preferred.
- Certification/Licensure: Current certification in radiologic technology and state licensure (if required) necessary.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in diagnostic imaging, preferably in a radiology setting.
