This role is essential for the comprehensive setup, service, and breakdown of catering functions. The Event Catering Server will ensure guest satisfaction through timely, courteous, and professional service that aligns with Cedar Fair's standards for grooming, attendance, and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transport large trays, weighing up to 30 lbs, through busy areas consistently during shifts.
  • Adhere to departmental and Cedar Fair's operational procedures.
  • Serve food and beverages promptly and efficiently.
  • Inspect all equipment for cleanliness and any potential damage.
  • Execute table setups as per Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
  • Prepare rooms according to BEO directives.
  • Deliver food in accordance with BEO and instructions from shift leaders.
  • Provide exceptional service with a positive attitude.
  • Report any unsafe or unusual conditions to management.
  • Comply with safety standards regarding chemicals and equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness in all service areas, including vacuuming carpets.
  • Enforce policies regarding alcohol service during events.
  • Take breaks and meal periods as scheduled in accordance with company policies.
  • Assist in the breakdown of rooms after events, following guidance from the Banquet Team Leader or Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Familiarity with proper service standards is required.
  • Possession of a valid California Food Handler's card is necessary.
  • Effective communication skills in English are essential for interacting with guests.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
