We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Intern to join our team at Walgreens. As a Pharmacy Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting and develop your skills in patient care, customer service, and pharmacy operations.
Key Responsibilities- Assist pharmacists and other healthcare providers in delivering patient care and services, including patient counseling and other health services.
- Perform duties as assigned and supervised by the pharmacist, including entering, third-party processing, filling, and dispensing prescriptions.
- Develop strong relationships with customers and provide exceptional customer service, including greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues.
- Learn from store and pharmacy team members, field leadership, team members, and customers/patients to develop your skills and knowledge in pharmacy operations.
- Assist with inventory management activities, such as ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipments of pharmaceuticals.
- Must be a current student enrolled in an accredited school of pharmacy program.
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
- Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
- Prefer to have prior work experience with Walgreens.
