Patient Care Specialist

This role involves providing direct, non-invasive patient care and support services in an in-patient environment. Key responsibilities include interviewing patients, taking vital signs, performing activities of daily living (ADLs), maintaining supplies and equipment, and transporting patients.
Position Summary:Provide basic patient care, including taking and recording vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with ADLs as instructed. Maintain a safe and clean environment by adhering to hospital policies and procedures. This position requires effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with the care team.
Detailed Responsibilities:- Take and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, weight, height, blood pressure, and intake-output measurements
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as meals, ambulation, hygiene, linen change, and toileting as instructed
- Maintain a safe and clean environment by adhering to hospital policies and procedures
- Transport patients and assist with positioning
- Participate in educational programs and workshops to enhance professional growth and development
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and/or 25 pounds frequently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
