Overview:
The HR Benefits Specialist serves as the primary resource for employees concerning the array of benefits offered. These benefits encompass Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), Life Insurance, and Employee Assistance Programs, among others. This role also aids the HR Manager in onboarding new hires and maintaining employee records.

Key Responsibilities:
- Stay informed about current regulations and changes in government policies related to employee benefits.
- Support the upkeep of personnel records and the HR Information System (HRIS), including processing changes in employment status.
- Address employee inquiries regarding benefits participation and assist with necessary documentation.
- Facilitate annual open enrollment and communicate benefits information to new hires.

Qualifications:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with adequate mathematical abilities to fulfill job responsibilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer applications.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Willingness to travel occasionally between locations.
- Previous experience managing or overseeing a 401(k) Profit Sharing Plan is preferred.
- Availability for occasional overtime as necessary.
- Maintain a consistent attendance record in accordance with company policies.
- Foster a collaborative relationship with the accounting and payroll departments.
- Uphold confidentiality at all times.

Additional Responsibilities:
- Conduct annual audits for the 401(k) plan.
- Prepare annual 1094/1095 forms accurately.
- Perform monthly eligibility audits.
- Process garnishments and child support as required.

Preferred Skills:
- Experience in Human Resources or Payroll.
- Familiarity with Sage HRMS or similar HRIS systems.

Working Environment:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to use hands for various tasks, stand, walk, and communicate effectively. The role may involve lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally. The work environment is primarily an indoor office, with occasional visits to production areas where exposure to chemical odors and noise may occur.

Compensation and Benefits:
Wage Range:
$25.00– $31.73 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
