Job Summary

UPMC St. Margaret is seeking a highly skilled and motivated CT/Nuclear Technologist to join our team. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing imaging procedures at a technical level, utilizing established scan protocols and complex imaging equipment. You will work closely with patients, clinicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient workflow.

Responsibilities
  • Perform computed tomography procedures utilizing established scan protocols, including contrast administration.
  • Utilize complex imaging equipment for the acquisition, analysis, reconstruction, and documentation of image data.
  • Ensure all exams are properly coded and tracked through the RIS system, and all charges are adequately entered for the exams performed.
  • Administer PO, rectal, and IV contrast per physician orders/department policy and assess patients for potential risk factors prior to the administration of the contrast media.
  • Communicate instructions to patients in a clear and concise manner and explain procedures to help allay their fears and solicit their cooperation.
  • Work as a team member within the department and all other departments to expedite patient care efficiently.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an ARRT-approved school of Radiologic Technology or completion of an accredited CNMT program.
  • ARRT certified as a Radiologic Technologist or certified by a CNMT program.
  • Must obtain CT Board Certification within 12 months of hire date.
  • CPR or BLS certification required.
  • Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting, Act 33, Act 34, and Act 73 FBI Clearance required.
