Job OpportunityKiddie Academy of Rutherford seeks a dedicated and compassionate Infant/Toddler Teacher to join our team of child care professionals. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for our youngest learners.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment, ensuring the well-being of our children.
- Complete all necessary paperwork, including daily reports, accident forms, and attendance records.
- Participate in staff meetings, academy events, and parent-teacher conferences as required.
- Supervise and engage children during activities, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Counsel children on social, academic, or adjustment issues, promoting emotional intelligence and well-being.
- Develop and implement lesson plans, programs, and schedules that cater to the diverse needs of our children.
- Prepare instructional materials and aids, ensuring a stimulating and interactive learning environment.
- Assist with meal times and clean-up, promoting healthy habits and responsibility.
- Ensure all equipment is in good working condition, used properly, and maintained regularly.
- Direct the activities of other staff members in the classroom, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation.
- Communicate effectively with parents, maintaining developmental profiles and scheduling conferences as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Meet all state requirements for this position.
- Previous classroom teaching experience in an accredited early childhood facility is an asset.
- Pleasant demeanor, outgoing personality, and high level of professionalism.
- Ability to interact with students of all ages and skill levels, as well as parents, coworkers, and management.
- Physical ability to lift at least 40 pounds consistently throughout the workday.
- Ability to change diapers.
