Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality patient care by assessing patients' needs, developing individualized plans of care, and implementing interventions to promote optimal health outcomes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers to ensure clear understanding of treatment plans, medication regimens, and post-discharge instructions.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, treatments, and outcomes, as well as perform ongoing assessments and evaluations to inform care decisions.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that enhance patient safety and satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or higher preferred.
  • Current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state of Iowa required.
  • Certification in a relevant specialty area (e.g., critical care, pediatrics) highly valued.
  • At least 2 years of experience in acute care nursing, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills essential for success in this role.
