Job Summary

The Occupational Therapist will serve as a member of the interdisciplinary team, providing therapeutic interventions and recreational services to patients in our IST Competency Restoration Program. This position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare, psychiatric care, and/or educational field. Inpatient psychiatric experience is preferred.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as psychology, therapeutic recreation, music therapy, art therapy, or occupational therapy, with a recreation therapist certificate. Certification is not required with a Master's degree in a relevant field.

Responsibilities
  • Provide therapeutic interventions and recreational services to patients in the IST Competency Restoration Program
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Assess and evaluate patient needs, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies for growth
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices in psychiatric care
Requirements
