Job Summary:

The Peer Support Liaison is a critical role that requires a unique blend of skills, experience, and compassion. As a liaison, you will connect individuals with mental health conditions and substance use disorders to essential resources and services, working closely with peer support specialists, community stakeholders, and healthcare providers.

In this role, you will:

  • Serve as a liaison between peer support specialists, community stakeholders, and healthcare providers to ensure effective care coordination.

  • Support clients in accessing recovery-based services, developing crisis plans, and implementing coping strategies.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of peer support specialist services in Virginia and federal laws related to mental health and substance use disorders.

  • Establish and maintain strong partnerships with community organizations, including NAMI, Mental Health America Chapters, and peer-run organizations.
