Position Overview

The Wellness Nurse plays a crucial role in enhancing the health and wellness of our residents through continuous clinical oversight and support. This position involves collaborating with community nurses, caregivers, and medication staff to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and the delivery of exceptional clinical care. A successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively within a team, showcasing flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment while maintaining a supportive and positive demeanor.

Compensation: Starting at $26.50/hr

Work Schedule: Part-Time, Every Other Weekend, 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM

  • Assist in managing the resident admission process, including evaluations, assessments, and care requirements.
  • Ensure that care is provided in accordance with established resident care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments, ensuring compliance with physician directives.
  • Coordinate care and services with external providers, including resident physicians.
  • Document and communicate care provided and resident observations, including any notable changes.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of state regulations, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications, strengths, and skills:
  • Familiarity with state regulations, policies, and compliance requirements.
  • Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program.
  • Current nursing license and state registration (LPN or RN).
  • Preferred: Three years of experience in assessment and geriatric nursing.
  • A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and compassion for our residents.
