About the Role

We are Clarke, a leading provider of public health and environmental products and services. We are seeking an experienced Analytical Chemist to join our Schaumburg facility, responsible for the daily operation of our QA Analytical Laboratory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute sample analysis, recording and analysis of analytical results, preparation of testing reports, and presentations.
  • Develop and maintain analytical methods, standards, and retention sample libraries.
  • Purchase consumables and maintain laboratory equipment.
  • Maintain laboratory compliance to ISO9001:2015 & ISO17025:2017.
  • Support product development and provide analytical expertise.
  • Mentor and develop other chemists.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and 4+ years of experience in analytical chemistry.
  • Experience with HPLC techniques, analytical method development, sample extraction techniques, statistical analysis, and laboratory safety procedures.
  • Ability to interpret scientific and statistical reports and effectively utilize information in performance of job duties.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportion to practical situations.
  • Desire to learn and go 'above and beyond'.
