Upholsterer Specialist

Job Title: Upholsterer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Upholsterer to join our team at The Greenbrier Hotel. As an Upholsterer, you will be responsible for restoring and maintaining the hotel's soft furnishings, including furniture, carpets, and window treatments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Replace and repair fabric and fabric-like materials on soft furniture
• Replace, mend, and install window shades
• Replace and install carpet floor covering
• Upholster walls and install window coverings
• General fabric installation and repair
• Setting up production set-up

Requirements:

• Previous upholstery and carpet laying experience required
• High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred
• Must be able to understand and follow directions both written and orally
• Must be able to communicate both written and orally
• Must be able to demonstrate basic math operations skills
• Must be able to read measurements with a ruler and yardstick

Working Conditions:

• Indoor work environment
• Heated work environment
• Standing for up to 8 hours
• Sitting for up to 5.5 hours
• Walking, climbing, bending, and overhead reaching
