Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Emperical Foods. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect all machinery and structures to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Monitor and report on potential foreign material sources and take corrective action as necessary.
  • Verify the accuracy of scales, swab tests, and metal detection systems.
  • Inspect and test equipment to ensure it is functioning properly.
  • Monitor and maintain the condition of various areas, including freezers, hand-wash sinks, locker rooms, and overhead structures.
  • Inspect raw material trailers and verify that they are from approved suppliers.
  • Perform core sampling tests and accurately record sampling data.
  • Accurately label, package, and ship product samples to specified laboratories.
  • Perform various inspections on finished product and place on hold product for additional inspection as necessary.
  • Measure and record quality factors of finished product, such as fat, protein, temperature, and color.
  • Inspect and manifest all finished products.
  • Perform inventory checks for QA supplies and materials.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in a food or restaurant environment preferred.
  • Basic math and writing skills required.
  • General computer knowledge and proficiency required.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data from a variety of sources.
  • Self-directed and able to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 60lbs.
  • Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, including weekends.
