* Provide direct patient care to patients who have undergone cardiac procedures
* Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team
* Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
* Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
* Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care

Requirements:

* 2 years of experience as a Cardiac Telemetry nurse
* Active ACLS and BLS certification
* Arizona license
* Ability to pass DYS exam prior to accepting the position
* Ability to maintain sterile field

Schedule:

* 7-7 shifts
* 2 shifts of floor-specific orientation
* 1 weekend out of 3 weekends

Unit Information:

* 6 HLT - Cardiac Tele Post-Intervention Unit
* 18 beds
* NP Ratio 3:1
* Nurse Aides: Yes - 2 if full at 18 patients
* Charge Nurse: Yes - Takes patients if the needs of the unit require this
* Tele: Yes - Nurses required to interpret tele
* Vents: BiPAP
* IV Team: SWAT RN available for difficult IV sticks
* RT 24/7: Yes
* Pharmacy 24/7: Yes
* Floating: Yes - To other Tele/MedSurg units as needed

Additional Details:

* Candidate is required to pass DYS exam PRIOR to accepting
* SIMs Lab is pass/fail & nurses have been termed during SIMs Lab for breaking sterile field
* Hospital expects every nurse to be competent in maintaining sterile field
* SIMs lab skills checklist is available if traveler asks for additional details
* Education on lifts, restraints, & wound care are provided since equipment & policies can differ
