This role combines the responsibilities of a Patient Care Tech and Health Unit Coordinator, providing clinical support to the patient care team and facilitating unit organization and patient care coordination.
Key Responsibilities- Assist patients with daily living activities, such as toileting, bathing, and linen changes.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to prioritize and deliver patient care.
- Provide excellent customer service and respond to patient and family requests.
- Report and record patient care findings and data in a timely manner.
- Assist with admission, discharge, and transfer of patients.
- Current CNA certification.
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
- Clerical or customer service experience.
- CNA experience or applicable healthcare experience.
- Current enrollment in nursing school.
- Basic computer skills.
This role requires frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors, as well as manual dexterity to manipulate complex equipment.
Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients and navigate crowded and busy rooms.
May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
