About the Role:

  • We are looking for a seasoned Nurse Practitioner to provide medical care to patients with substance use disorders.
  • As an Advanced Addiction Medicine Specialist, you will conduct thorough assessments, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with patients to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and support for patients throughout their recovery journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of patients' medical, psychiatric, social, and substance use histories.
  • Establish substance use diagnoses and determine severity using DSM-5 criteria.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address patients' unique needs and preferences.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure seamless transitions.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families on addiction, recovery, and health promotion.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters and progress notes in the electronic medical record system.

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in Nursing or related field.
  • Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
  • Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP).
  • 2+ years of experience in addiction medicine or related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
