Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Aquatic Safety Supervisor to ensure the safety and well-being of all patrons in our aquatic facilities. This role is essential in maintaining a secure and enjoyable environment for swimmers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct swim assessments to verify candidates' swimming capabilities.
  • Enforce established safety protocols and regulations to guarantee a secure pool area.
  • Supervise swimmers effectively to ensure their safety at all times.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of pool decks and facilities.
  • Complete closing procedures thoroughly and accurately.
  • Foster positive relationships with fellow employees, management, and patrons.
  • Keep lifeguard certifications up to date and apply first aid and rescue techniques as necessary.
  • Accurately complete required documentation in a timely manner.
  • Obtain and maintain certifications in CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguard Training Instructor within the specified timeframe.
  • Possess or be willing to obtain a Water Safety Instructor Certificate.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of lifesaving techniques, including backboard rescue and CPR.
  • Understand and adhere to company policies, safety regulations, and applicable city and state codes.
  • Utilize and maintain lifeguard equipment appropriately.
  • Preferred experience in lifeguarding or related fields.
  • Successfully pass a swim test of 500 yards in ten minutes or less.
  • Exhibit strong swimming and lifesaving skills.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving and organizational abilities.
  • Maintain an alert, attentive, and responsible demeanor.
  • Instruct aquatic programs as needed.
  • Engage effectively with the public and respond to emergencies swiftly and efficiently.
  • Complete health and drug screening as well as training programs successfully.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is preferred but not mandatory.
