Security Guard

Bay Mills Indian Community is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Security Guard to join our team at Bay Mills Resort & Casinos. As a Security Guard, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our guests and employees.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service by being attentive, responsive, and courteous to all guests and employees.
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance at all times.
  • Represent the Security Department professionally by maintaining a calm, objective, and cooperative demeanor.
  • Patrol the interior and exterior of the property regularly to maintain a proactive presence.
  • Communicate all issues and areas of concern to the supervisor.
  • Practice and promote established policies and procedures.
  • Establish a professional and cooperative rapport with company employees.
  • Safeguard company assets by adhering to company policies and procedures for the care and transport of cash and coin.
  • Fulfill all reporting requirements established by the department.
  • Stay up-to-date with all medical/ERT procedures, fire emergencies, and safety rules, regulations, and training.
  • Participate in all medical emergencies within the property.
  • Receive, report, and secure all lost and found items within the property.
  • Effectively deal with unruly or abusive employees and/or patrons.
  • Enforce the proper procedure for underage or banished patrons.
  • Proactively patrol the property to monitor and effectively deal with situations concerning alcohol consumption.
  • Provide pertinent information to local law enforcement and other emergency services, as directed by the Security Supervisor.
  • Attend all scheduled departmental meetings.
  • Maintain knowledge of all company promotions.
  • Treat all information received in the performance of duties as confidential.
  • Responsible for learning and following daily policies and procedures for the Security Department and Bay Mills Resort & Casinos.
  • Must attend all mandatory trainings designated by the Human Resources Department and/or Department Directing, including Title 31.
  • Perform and ensure compliance with the Bay Mills Gaming Commission Rules and Regulations.
  • Other duties may be assigned within the scope and complexity of this position's essential functions.
Requirements:
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have casino or security experience, certification, or education in a related field.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license through the Bay Mills Gaming Commission and maintain eligibility throughout employment.
  • Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to effectively handle medical emergencies.
  • Must be able to successfully fulfill the reporting requirements of the department.
  • Must demonstrate great customer service skills.
  • Must be able to attend and successfully complete required training courses.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each function listed under the essential functions and physical demands categories of this position description.
  • Must have an excellent past work record, including attendance.
