Teaching Plumbing Technology at Northwestern Michigan CollegeWe are seeking a qualified instructor to teach Plumbing Technology courses for the Technical Academic Area at Northwestern Michigan College. The ideal candidate will possess strong teaching and communication skills, as well as experience in plumbing technology.
As a member of our faculty team, you will be responsible for preparing and delivering instruction to students, assessing student coursework, and providing feedback to students. You will also be expected to maintain accurate student records, meet classes during scheduled times, and make reasonable accommodations for students with disabilities.
Beyond teaching responsibilities, we encourage our adjunct faculty members to participate in professional development opportunities, attend college meetings, and engage in activities that promote the college's mission and vision.
The successful candidate will have a Masters in HVAC/Mechanical Engineering or related field with 2 years of experience, or a Bachelors in HVAC/Mechanical Engineering or related field with 3 years of industry experience, or a Bachelors with 5 years related experience, or an Associates in Technical Field with 8 years of industry experience, or No degree with 12 years of related experience. A Mechanical License is preferred.
This is a part-time position with variable schedules, including evenings, weekends, and online instruction. The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - 60,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
