Sales Associate

At Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity, we are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our team. As a Sales Associate, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide excellent customer service and respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, including handling cash, credit, and check payments.
- Assist with sorting and balancing receipts and payments, and encode payments with proper accounting categories.
- Prepare and balance cash register receipts daily, and prepare cash for the next business day.
- Verify merchandise quantities, descriptions, and costs to ensure accuracy.
- Provide clerical support to assist designated staff in completing their duties and responsibilities.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including working amicably with assigned volunteers.
- High School Diploma or equivalent, and a College degree or equivalent.
- At least six months of experience in cash management, bookkeeping, or similar work.
- Demonstrated experience in a customer relations setting.
- Knowledge of building products and departments where products are located.
- Knowledge of proper public contact and telephone etiquette.
- Knowledge of modern office procedures, methods, and equipment.
- Knowledge of general bookkeeping practices.
- Pleasant speaking voice and articulation.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
- Valid Texas driver's license and clear driving record required.
