Position Overview

Summary

The Wolfeboro Children's Center is looking for a dedicated Preschool Teacher to work with children aged 3 to 5 years. This is a full-time role, offering up to 40 hours weekly along with comprehensive benefits. The position is supervised by the Group Coordinator for the Preschool Program. The starting salary is competitive, ranging from $16 to $19, based on experience, educational qualifications, and state credentials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create a nurturing and inclusive environment that caters to the unique needs of each child and their family.
  • Engage in the planning and execution of daily activities tailored for the children.
  • Encourage children to develop independent self-help skills.
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and safe environment that promotes optimal growth and development.
  • Work collaboratively with families, service providers, and other support personnel.
  • Participate in staff and planning meetings, using these opportunities to address concerns regarding the Center's operations and the welfare of the children.
  • Maintain positive and respectful relationships with colleagues, sharing relevant information appropriately.
  • Adhere to all center policies and New Hampshire Childcare Licensing regulations.

Qualifications

  • Experience and enthusiasm for working with young children.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team setting.
  • Understanding of child development principles.
  • Successful completion of a comprehensive background check and health screening.
  • Strong commitment to confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • New Hampshire State Teaching Credential.
  • Certification in Infant/Child CPR and First Aid.
  • Coursework in Early Childhood Education with a focus on child growth and development.
