Job Title: Registered Nurse - Hematology/Oncology

City of Hope is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Hematology/Oncology department. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care to individuals with cancer and blood disorders, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to patients with cancer and blood disorders, including administering medications, performing lab draws, and managing patient symptoms.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, working closely with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care, including referrals to specialists, diagnostic testing, and treatment planning.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families, addressing their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
Requirements:
  • Current AZ Registered Nurse License or a Registered Nurse License from a Compact State.
  • Associates Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred.
  • Prior experience in Inpatient Oncology, Inpatient Malignant Hematology or Outpatient Oncology Infusion required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification - an approved American Heart Association (AHA) training site, American Safety & Health Institute, or Red Cross BLS certification is required upon hire.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification - stakeholders will have thirty (30) days from the date of hire to acquire American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS certification and will need to be renewed every two years.
