Pacific Medical Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Medical Collections Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Collections Specialist, you will be responsible for contacting insurance companies regarding past due bills, entering EOBs in the system, and researching returned claims.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contact insurance companies to resolve past due bills
  • Enter EOBs in the system and research returned claims
  • Conduct phone and written follow-up on unpaid claims
  • Maximize cash collection and minimize collection time
  • Research and resolve open accounts quickly and professionally
Requirements
  • Medical collections experience (1-2 years minimum)
  • Ability to type 31-45 words per minute
  • Knowledge of Endeavor and/or Medicare IVR
  • Knowledge of Explanation of Benefits (EOBs)
  • Knowledge of HMOs and PPOs
  • Knowledge of patients' medical records for determining correct Medicare criteria
Benefits
  • Hourly rate pay range: $16.00 to $26.00
  • Annual range: $33,280 to $54,080
  • Overtime rate pay range: $24.00 to $39.00
  • Example of annual overtime range: $5,000 to $19,500+
  • Bonus opportunity: $0 to $750 per month (increases hourly rate up to $4.33 or up to $9,000 per year)
  • Profit bonus: $0 to $1,000 per month (increases hourly rate up to $5.77 per hour or up to $12,000 per year)
