Job Summary:

The Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA) provides safe and effective basic care to patients in the Neuro Med/Surg department. This includes taking vital signs, assisting patients with activities of daily living, specimen collection, and observation of patients for physical/emotional changes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of patient care principles and be able to communicate effectively with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

- Provide basic care to patients, including vital sign monitoring and specimen collection
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing and dressing
- Observe patients for physical/emotional changes and report any concerns to the healthcare team
- Communicate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care

Requirements:

- CNA certification
- CPR certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six months of experience in a clinical healthcare environment

Preferred Qualifications:

- Six months of experience in supporting physical, emotional, and psycho-social needs of patients
