Diesel Bus Mechanic

Central States Bus Sales is seeking a skilled Full-Time Automotive Service Technician to join our Lexington, KY location. This role involves performing mechanical work on a diverse range of diesel-powered vehicles and equipment, as well as other duties.
About the Position
The primary purpose of this position is to perform maintenance and repairs on customer vehicles, diagnose issues with vehicle systems, install vehicle upgrades, and complete miscellaneous repairs. Our ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical skills, be able to operate a pallet jack and pallet lift, and have experience working with motorized equipment and hand tools.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 2+ years of formal work experience in basic automotive maintenance
- Ability to perform mechanical work on mid-range diesel-powered vehicles, heavy-duty gasoline vehicles, pickups, cars, light duty equipment, and related systems
- Knowledge of procedures and techniques used in the inspection, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of equipment and vehicles
- Commercial Driver's License Class B with Passenger and Air Brake Endorsements within 3 months of hire
- ASE Certifications, a plus
- Cummins ISB/ISC Certification, a plus
- MVI License, a plus
