Ophthalmic Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Ophthalmic Technician to join our team at Riverside Health System. As a key member of our ophthalmology team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to our physicians and staff.

• Greets patients, reviews complaints, and performs clinical measures, including visual acuities and slit lamp exams.
• Facilitates patient education through brochures and videos.
• Prepares prescription refills for physician review and signature.
• Prepares referral and dictation letters, and returns calls to patients and pharmacies with medical questions.

• High School Graduate or GED Equivalent.
• 3-5 years of experience in an ophthalmology or optometry office.
• JCAHPO, Certified Ophthalmic Technician certification.
