Position Overview:As a Mid-Level Tailings Engineer at Accoravillage, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on environmental sustainability while working alongside a team of dedicated professionals. Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will engage in various activities related to mine waste and water management, including:
- Conducting site evaluations and feasibility assessments for tailings management solutions.
- Creating both conceptual and detailed engineering designs for tailings storage facilities, focusing on embankments, liners, and drainage systems.
- Utilizing numerical modeling and analysis to evaluate the stability and performance of tailing structures under diverse conditions.
- Providing technical expertise and support to clients throughout the entire project lifecycle, from design through to construction and operation.
- Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to incorporate environmental, geotechnical, and regulatory considerations into tailings management strategies.
- Performing risk assessments and developing mitigation strategies to minimize environmental and safety risks associated with tailings storage.
Qualifications:

- A degree in civil or geotechnical engineering; a master's degree is a plus.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in civil or geotechnical engineering, preferably within the mining sector.
- Eligibility for professional engineering registration in Canada.
- Proficiency in geotechnical analysis software (e.g., FLAC, PLAXIS, GeoStudio).
- A solid understanding of mining regulations and industry best practices.
- A passion for building long-term client relationships and collaborating effectively.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, including experience in drafting technical reports and project correspondence.
- A background in safety-focused environments with experience in incident reporting.

Compensation and Benefits:
