Job Summary

As a Surgical Technologist with Memorial Hermann Health System, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in our Pediatric Operating Room. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Surgical Technologist to join our team, working evening shifts (6:30pm-7am) on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide proficient perioperative patient care through the use of equipment and instrumentation.
  • Function as a scrub assistant to the physician performing operative and/or invasive procedures.
  • Work under the direction of a Registered Nurse and as outlined in the Surgical Technologist Skills Inventory.
  • Act as a role model and resource for other staff, demonstrating knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patient served.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a Surgical Technologist Program.
  • Certified in Basic Life Support.
  • Current Certification as a Surgical Technologist by the National Board of Surgical Technology & Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).
  • 2+ years of Surgical Tech experience preferred.
  • Pedi OR experience preferred but open to all Surgical Tech experience.
