Job Overview

As a Logistics and Supply Chain Specialist, your role will be pivotal in aligning supply chain operations with business goals. You will oversee various supply chain functions, including inventory management, procurement processes, logistics coordination, and supplier engagement. Your focus will be on ensuring timely material availability while optimizing inventory levels to enhance operational efficiency and financial performance. You will manage the entire procurement cycle, assess logistical strategies, and maintain robust supplier partnerships to meet organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management
  • Employ analytical tools to assess and implement inventory optimization strategies based on forecasts and customer demands.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless supply of materials to production facilities and clients.
  • Assist in managing inter-plant inventory requests and adjustments.
  • Maintain optimal safety stock levels to support production and financial targets.
  • Coordinate the implementation of part change notifications while minimizing excess inventory.
  • Communicate supply chain challenges with relevant stakeholders regarding production plans and customer needs.
  • Analyze system data to identify and address demand fluctuations.
Procurement Management
  • Facilitate the processing of purchase orders, confirm delivery schedules, and monitor shipments to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Address discrepancies and issues during the procurement cycle, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective measures.
    • Resolve invoice discrepancies promptly.
Logistics Coordination
  • Collaborate with logistics teams to identify cost-effective transportation solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Request freight quotes and evaluate options to recommend the best logistical decisions to meet production and customer expectations.
Supplier Engagement
  • Serve as a liaison between the organization and its suppliers.
  • Facilitate effective communication and resolution processes to address business needs.
  • Manage supplier performance and assist in resolving supply chain disruptions (quality, logistics, etc.).
  • Build and sustain supplier relationships through effective communication.
  • Provide support for supplier relationship management systems.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in supply chain management.
  • Experience: 0 to 10 years in a relevant field.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, attention to detail, strong communication abilities, and a results-oriented mindset.
