Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct annual DOT inspections on vehicles and trailers.
  • Diagnose issues and collaborate with the equipment manager to explore cost-effective and durable repair solutions.
  • Oversee maintenance and repair of heavy machinery, trucks, and equipment across the organization.
  • Perform routine vehicle services, including oil changes, lubrication, fluid replenishment, filter replacements, and adherence to preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and hydraulic systems, as well as diesel and gasoline engines, transmissions, and drive trains.
  • Procure necessary parts and supplies.
  • Adjust functional components of devices, control instruments, and various types of equipment.
  • Repair or replace faulty components.
  • Evaluate equipment performance before and after repairs.
  • Operate and maintain a field service vehicle.
  • Execute additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Completion of a Diesel Technician training program is highly preferred.
  • Relevant certifications such as ASE, 608/609, etc., are advantageous.
  • Possession of personal tools is necessary.
  • Must hold a Class 8 Mechanic certification.
  • A valid Driver's License with a clean driving record is essential.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screenings.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, reach, stand, climb, kneel, and push.
  • Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position.
  • Willingness to travel throughout designated areas.
