About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Superintendent to join our team at Invitation Homes. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the full-cycle rehabilitation and turnover of our properties, ensuring that they are delivered to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough Pre Move-Out Visits with residents to document the home condition and resident responsibilities
  • Meet with incoming residents to complete Resident Orientations, welcoming them and educating them on the systems in their home and maintenance policies
  • Conduct Move Out Inspections, including a detailed inspection of the property and creation of a comprehensive scope of work and cost estimates
  • Oversee all aspects of the rehab and turn process, including communication with contractors, submission of change orders, and documentation of progress
  • Communicate with the Leasing Team regarding completion delays that may impact resident move-in dates
  • Ensure job site safety during project management visits
  • Negotiate terms of repairs with vendors and General Contractors based on company standards
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • OSHA 10 certification (new hires will have up to 90 days to complete certification if not already certified)
  • Minimum two years of project management experience managing multiple projects, budgets, timelines, and quality of work
  • General knowledge of residential construction, including plumbing, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, drywall, and flooring, as well as local building codes
  • Negotiating with and managing contractors to complete work
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortability with using a tablet and general business applications (e.g. Outlook, Salesforce, etc.)
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Current driver's license and automobile insurance
  • Ability to lift and/or move an excess of 50 pounds or more and operate standard maintenance equipment as assigned

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $53,175.00 - $92,170.00, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including annual bonus program, health, dental, vision, and life insurance, long-term and short-term disability insurance, and generous paid time off plans.
