We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance group, you will be responsible for providing electrical and mechanical support for troubleshooting, repairing, rebuilding, or modifying machinery or facility-related equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and advise on proper electrical installation and troubleshooting techniques, ensuring compliance with industry standards and guidelines.
- Participate in and write Lockout Tagout procedures for new and upgraded equipment/facility installations.
- Install, replace, diagnose, and program PLCs, PC-based controls, and robotic control systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical field devices and components, and replace as necessary.
- Source and size electrical supplies for equipment modifications and installations.
- Assess electrical training needs within the maintenance group and provide developmental support as needed.
- Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to GMP practices and housekeeping standards.
- Take ownership of tasks and jobs, ensuring operational safety, plant performance, and line uptime are optimized.
- Follow established maintenance processes and required standards of excellence.
- Utilize predictive maintenance diagnostic tools and procedures, interpreting and documenting results.
- Maintain, systematically troubleshoot, repair, and replace mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic parts.
- Complete work order assignments within designated timeframes, reporting any deviations through proper channels.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives and Root Cause Analysis, researching and suggesting improvements based on recognized repetitive failures or substandard manufacturing practices.
- Optimize and refine PMs based on findings, such as frequency, task list, etc.
- Provide support for opposing shifts, maintenance-related activities, or projects.
- Interact with production teams as needed, sharing newly learned discoveries pertinent to repair or troubleshooting techniques.
- Assist in the training of Maintenance Apprentices, Machine Specialists, and other employees, validating work performed as required.
- Communicate and converse professionally and technically with maintenance, operations, engineering, and other resources to solve machine-related issues.
- Rotate and understand all equipment functions of the plant.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor and/or plant engineer.
- An Associate degree in a technical discipline or a journey worker credential in an accredited technical discipline is required for advancement to Skill level 3 and above.
- Additional electrical and mechanical on-the-job training, demonstrated skill set preferred.
- SAP knowledge and Microsoft Office preferred.
- Additional educational courses will be required as needed to sustain departmental/individual technological levels and licenses.
