Position: EHS Compliance Specialist
The EHS Compliance Specialist plays a crucial role in managing environmental, health, and safety compliance for our North Campus facility. This position requires regulatory expertise to ensure that all applicable requirements are understood and adhered to. The specialist will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing EHS initiatives, while also monitoring facility operations to guarantee compliance with both regulatory and internal standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all management and operational personnel are informed about current and upcoming regulatory requirements.
- Assist in developing processes to identify, assess, and mitigate workplace hazards.
- Provide and track training programs to meet OSHA compliance standards.
- Offer industrial hygiene support to evaluate employee exposure to noise and other health risks.
- Oversee mandatory compliance monitoring activities related to air, water, and waste management.
- Maintain accurate chemical inventory records to meet regulatory tracking needs.
- Conduct training sessions for staff on EHS policies, practices, and procedures.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field pertinent to health, safety, and environmental disciplines is required.
- A minimum of three years of experience in industrial health, safety, and environmental roles is essential.
- Familiarity with the VPP process and various safety regulations (OSHA, NFPA, ANSI, NEC, etc.) is necessary.
- Professional certification in EHS is preferred.
- Flexibility to work non-traditional hours or shifts may be required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities, are crucial.
