We are seeking a skilled Operating Room Nurse Specialist to join our team at TotalMed. As a key member of our surgical team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of surgical care.
Responsibilities- Provide specialized nursing care in the operating room, assisting with surgical procedures and ensuring patient safety.
- Prepare operating rooms for surgery, including setting up equipment, sterilizing instruments, and maintaining aseptic conditions.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to assist with procedures, maintain a sterile field, and anticipate the needs of surgeons and other team members.
- Monitor patient vital signs and assist with anesthesia administration and airway management as needed during surgery.
- Provide postoperative care, including wound care, monitoring recovery, and educating patients and their families on postoperative instructions and self-care.
- Current RN license
- BLS (Other Certifications as required by facility)
- 2 years of recent OR (Operating Room) nursing experience
- Strong communication and adaptability skills
