Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at UW Health. As a Radiologic Technologist - Ortho, you will be responsible for performing a wide variety of imaging exams on adults, geriatric patients, adolescents, and pediatric age groups using a wide variety of radiographic equipment, computers, detectors, and plate readers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform imaging exams on patients of various ages and backgrounds
  • Troubleshoot basic maintenance and participate in QA to ensure optimal image quality
  • Resolve issues related to image processing and the image archiving system
  • Make quick and highly technical decisions to accommodate physical restrictions and pathology
  • Serve as a clinical instructor for affiliated imaging training programs
  • Participate in the instruction of other technologists and visiting healthcare professionals
  • May participate in clinical research
Requirements
  • Minimum - Graduate of a School of Radiologic Technology
  • Preferred - Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Minimum - Previous healthcare experience
  • Preferred - Two (2) years clinical experience
  • Minimum - Certification by an appropriate body (ARRT) and valid Wisconsin Radiological License upon hire
  • CPR certification required within three months of hire
  • If Bone Mineral Densitometry is part of the hired role, Bone Mineral Densitometry certification within 30 months of hire
