Job Title: Trauma Lead RN

Inova Health System is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to fill the role of Trauma Lead. This position is responsible for optimizing daily function and care delivery provided by Advanced Practice Clinicians (APCs) in a Service Line.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical guidance and support to APCs
  • Liaise between APCs, nursing, physicians, and other providers to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Ensure appropriate staffing and scheduling are maintained, and escalate needs in a timely manner
  • Develop and implement process improvement plans to enhance quality, safety, and efficiency
  • Critically evaluate care delivery structures and plans to identify areas for improvement
  • Identify educational opportunities and ensure structured delivery to APCs
  • Work alongside physician directors on initiatives and committees to ensure representation and participation
  • Communicate effectively with individual APCs and colleagues to ensure positive relationships
  • Ensure onboarding process is in place and followed for new APCs
  • Provide valuable feedback to APC manager for yearly evaluations
Requirements:
  • Certification as a Registered Nurse
  • Basic Life Support certification upon start; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (for Critical Care) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (for Pediatrics) certifications upon start
  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia
  • Experience as an Advanced Practice Clinician for at least 3 years
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and Master's Degree in Advanced Clinical Practice or graduate of a postmasters certificate program for nurse practitioners
