Job Title: FPGA Design Lead

We are seeking an experienced FPGA Design Lead to join our team at BAE Systems USA. As an FPGA Design Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers in the design and development of FPGA-based systems.

About the Role:
  • Lead a team of engineers in the design and development of FPGA-based systems
  • Translate firmware requirements into Hardware Description Language (HDL) designs
  • Evaluate FPGA performance using simulation tools
  • Resolve FPGA design synthesis issues
  • Integrate FPGA designs in a laboratory environment
  • Create design documentation
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree (less with an advanced degree)
  • Current Security Clearance (Secret), or eligible to obtain one
  • Ability to distill higher level requirements into micro-architecture
  • Extensive experience in FPGA (preferred) or ASIC Design / Development
  • Experience leading/managing a design team
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with DSP fundamentals and FPGA implementation
  • Experience with Matlab/Simulink
  • Experience creating unique designs and supporting legacy designs
