Job Summary:

The Hearing Care Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring patients receive quality care and service. This position requires strong communication and relationship-building skills to partner with clinical staff, referring physicians, and patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients with a positive and professional attitude
  • Place outbound calls to schedule follow-up appointments and consultations
  • Collect patient intake forms and maintain accurate records
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments
  • Verify insurance benefits and authorization
  • Provide first-level support to patients, answer questions, and process payments
  • Process repairs under the supervision of a licensed Hearing Care Professional
  • Prepare bank deposits and submit daily reports to finance
  • General sales knowledge for accessories and patient support
  • Process patient orders, receive and verify pick-ups, and input information into the system
  • Clean and maintain equipment and instruments
  • Submit equipment and facility requests
  • General office duties, including cleaning
  • Manage inventory, order/monitor stock, and submit supply orders as needed
  • Assist with event planning and logistics for community outreach events

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Associates degree, preferred
  • Prior experience/knowledge with hearing aids is a plus
  • Professional verbal and written communication
  • Strong relationship-building skills with patients, physicians, and clinical staff
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
  • EMR/EHR experience a plus
  • 2+ years in a healthcare environment, preferred
  • Previous customer service experience, required
